December Thank you Notes #002

This guy has changed my life in so many ways. He's one of the very very few people who takes the time to understand me and it so happens, he appreciates what he sees in me. Sooo... Matthew! Thank you! You've become one of the closest and dearest people in my life (and trust me, there's not a lot of you). You've surpassed my expectations and that's just amazing. Thank you for always listening to me. It's hard to find people who really know how to listen. Thank you for being the brutally honest person in my life. Thank you for pushing me into always using my brain (i honestly love that about you). Thank you for spending the countless hours of conversation about life and weirdness. It's rare to find someone you can talk to for hours and hours about everything and anything. I appreciate all the funny conversations we have that send us laughing our butts off. I appreciate the deep conversations we have about each other's lives and what we can do to improve ourselves. I appreciate all the experiences you share with me because they're interesting and fun. Thank you for reassuring me about what I want in life. There are times I question how well I can do something or if I can do something I've never done before, you push me into believing I can reach my goals and dreams. Thank you for playing video games with me! This is something that blows my mind away. We actually play for hours and hours of Civ and we actually talk about strategy and gameplay... do you know how awesome that is?! It's so much fun! I have so much fun with you around. Thank you for making me feel i'm important. There are only a few people who really do this for me and for some reason, you were able to make me believe in myself more. You give me a boost of confidence and that's what I really need. Thank you for making me smile, especially when I'm feeling angry or sad. Thank you for understanding me when I'm talking about things I'm passionate about. 

There's one thing I really have to thank you for though... I've always felt weird and different from everyone around me (you know these reasons). I've always felt like my physicalities were looked down upon. People would always judge me for it, but you come along and you remind me to always be myself. You don't tell me to change who I am. You gave me this lesson because I KNOW when 'normal people' look at your tattoos and beard and etc etc, they'll think you're one of those 'scary Rockers', but you're not. You're a sweetheart. You always care. You're smart. You always have something to say. You know how to communicate well. You're respectable. You have everything a girl would want in her man. So, you totally defy what people say and think. I LOVE THAT. Don't get me wrong, you're tough to handle because... well, i understand this part because I'm exactly the same way. People always doubt this side of me, but I see so much of me in you and that's why you're in this list. I have to Thank You for making me believe again. You opened my mind and yup, THANK YOU.
