Check out Wil's awesome video! He traveled to Mindoro to expound his knowledge in Tagalog. Come on guys, who doesn't want to watch an American speak fluent Tagalog?
Great job Wil! Keep it coming! When the age of Mock-ups and .PSB entered the design world, all the designers dropped down on their knees and screamed, "YESSS!" Being a graphic designer, this magic world saves me a lot of time and money. A lot of clients want to see "THE REAL DEAL" so we end up spending on print outs we secretly dread, then the clients say no to the design and we end up throwing those papers or it ends up in a paper pile that's only collecting dust! These mocks up totally save our lives! But! Designers end up downloading or buying (then downloading) sooooo many mock ups and when we need to choose which one fits what design, we end up with folders that look like this: Yup, this is what my "mobile/web" folder looks like. When I want to present something, I have to click on each of those .PSD files to see the contents of those files. It's annoying and wastes so much time. I'm also a little O.C. when it comes to my folders and files on my computer, so this was hell. So, I came up with an idea that will help me know which one is which. (This helps A LOT for someone like me who has bad memory...) This is what my "branding" folder looks like now, after I fixed it! YAHOO!!! Now I don't have to click on each and every file just to see the content! When I click on my Branding Folder, it brings me to all my branding mock ups and I'm able to know which ones which right away! What did I do? I (obviously) converted the folder icon to image icons. Trust me, this is time consuming so you'll need a lot of patience, but I believe the outcome is worth it. It saves us so much more time. Now, I can think and work faster when I'm making my presentations!
There are so many free icon converter applications/programs out there, so try it out! The one I used was IcoFX for windows. (http://icofx.ro/). It's only valid for 30 days then you'll have to purchase it. There you go! Wuhooo! Incredible! I love this and I wish I could do this for a living. I bet your hand ends up dying by the end of the day, but i'm sure it's still super fun! Hahaha. This guy is super lucky.
Check out their studio here and photo credits: https://www.facebook.com/chaparrocreative Of course we all meet new people almost everyday! It's nice to socialize and make friends! I have to say though... for me, from the many many people that I meet, there are a few that really stand out from the crowd. My favorite past time is hanging out with people and learning about their life. I love listening to what they've experienced and accomplished. So, here it is, my first Hall Of Fame entry. I want to give a shout out to a few people who have struck a chord in me because of who they are and what they've done for the world (or the people around them). Some of these people I just met, while some i've known for a long time. They all deserve to be praised, loved, and appreciated for what they do. I'm lucky enough to have met them. I enjoyed every second listening and communicating ideas and journeys with them. I fell in love with all their awesomeness and outlook on life. (I obviously stole their photos from facebook so thanks guys! Hahaha)
This is one of the most innovative and easy access creative website I have ever visited! You can pay through paypal and it makes it so easy to pay with your credit/debit card. I purchase A LOT of my mock ups here because they're affordable! I also gather a lot of information and inspiration for website designs. It's incredible! So worth it! If you're a creative person and need some help, this website is going to help you out like a pro! Check it out! I promise you, it's worth it! http://market.envato.com/Yesterday, I took part in an awesome beach photoshoot with Speed Eyewear! We've been planning and preparing for this photoshoot for some time now so i'm suuuper happy it was successful!
We had to meet in makati super early in the morning. It was funny cos we packed sooo much food. We were joking how we're going to be staying at the beach for a week! It was a little new and weird going to Zambales cos none of us really knew each other well. It was quiet even if a lot of us were awake. I ended up in the van with the talents so you can imagine how weird I felt... It's not like i can stare at them and drool right? HAHA. I had to stay all professional and stuff and it was dark...so it's not like i could see any of them... hahaha. BUT as the day progressed, we all got to bond and talk to each other. By the end end of the shoot, we were friends and the selfie galore took over. Hahaha. It's also what happens when you're with two professional (AND SUPER AWESOME) photographers + models. Selfies happen. Cos you know... these people are all pretty and stuff. But you know what, we're lucky cos these talents were down to earth and super nice. The photographers were easy going and it was so fun to work with them. They were able to grasp all the concepts and helping them out and stuff was so much fun. I was a happy girl because i was surrounded with all these creative people so the conversations were really interesting and open. I was able to approach and work with the models too cos they were fun and interesting. I was happy cos they were open to suggestions and stuff. They weren't snobbish and annoying so when it was chill time, i was able to bond with them and talk to them about things. It was a good experience and IT WAS SUUUPER FUN! I can't wait to work with these guys again, especially the photographers. They are so talented. I'm excited to start working on all the collateral!!! Congratulations to all of us for a very successful photoshoot! We all did an awesome job and I wish everyone more success! SHOUT OUT TO DIREK LAMBERT PANGILINAN and MARK CRISTINO for their awesome awesome photography skills. Without them, this shoot wouldn't look awesome. HIRE THEM. I promise you, they're going to rock your world. ANOTHER SHOUT OUT TO WIL, DOMINIC, GARRETT, SHINE, GOLDIE, and SANDRA. Your sexy faces and beautiful bods made this photoshoot radical! WUHOO! |
