I had a change of heart a long time ago and it took more time to actually do it, but now that I get it, I have more peace in my mind. I've had a lot a lot of people hurt me, but telling myself they're worth more than I think they do so that matters. Just because they hurt me, doesn't mean they don't deserve good. It's hard to tell yourself that you know? Especially when you're hurting so much, but it's true. Why argue with something that brings peace and truth into your life?
I guess this was one of the things that really helped me in the past. I had to realize that even if this person tried so hard to ruin my life, it doesn't mean she matters any less than I do. Because of that, I didn't have the heart to pull through with the revenge I had in mind. Today, I still won't act on it because it all goes down to how I wouldn't want to be treated that way, so why do it to another. It doesn't matter what you've done. You still matter. This is something I have never done before.... Isometric Vector Illustrations. I gotta tell you, it was HARD. Hahaha. With more practice, I'm sure I'll be able to create these things faster!
I saw a contest online and the company needs maps for a book they're making. I took the opportunity to test my skill and see if I could make a simple, clean, and visual map of parts of Brooklyn (what the company wanted to see). I started making the map but later on, found out the contest holder changed the duration of the project from 4 days to 2 days. At this point, I only had a few hours left cos I didn't see the comment of the contest holder. I worked my butt off and not bad for one night! I really hope I get this project because it's a great opportunity! If I don't get it, that's okay, I learned something new and I had so much fun figuring it out. The client wanted to see a vintage logo, so I came up with this. I'm really getting into this kind of design and I feel like I can understand it more. I'm happy with the product I created. I researched on Bicycle Shop Logos and saw the most common elements used, so I made some based on images online. I hope the guys like it enough to use it.
Freebie! You can download the PSD mock up of the T-shirt here: http://www.tinydesignr.com/2015/01/mens-t-shirt-psd-mockup.html I was given the opportunity to work with a very awesome cause! Really! Their idea is so simple, but it sheds so much happiness! If you've taken part in Gymboree classes you'll totally understand the concept of Roochute. Hahaha.
I've been working like a machine since the beginning of Feb. These are the logos I've created so far and I have to say... I'm super happy and proud of myself because I think they're good designs. I followed what the clients wanted. I pushed boundaries in some logos but I think the end product turned out really well.
AND THANK GOD FOR .PSB FOR MOCK UPS. They really help bring out designs. Sometimes, you have to do research on the company to understand which direction to take. I had no idea what these guys did... Haha. I had to read a bunch of articles just to understand what "infrastructure automation & configuration" meant.... HAHAHAHA.
I joined a contest wherein we need to design a new logo for Arrival Hotel in Thessaloniki, Greece. I found this interesting because the client wishes to see a simple, clean, geometric logo. I've never worked with geometric shapes, so this one was challenging, until I found the basic shape you need to use. Apparently, it's all over the internet... Hahaha. I should have done this days ago because at the beginning I didn't understand where to start. The shape is called a parallelogram! Hahaha. My life became so much easier after that. I also found an image that showed this kind of typeface so I was able to understand how these things are made. Now that I know, I can create more unique designs and really dive into this.
