The day Lego released this modular building, I knew I just had to get it, but I also knew it was going to be very expensive. I would have to save up and make sure I wouldn't go through some sort of financial crisis. Haha. It took long for me to purchase this set, but it was so worth it! My 30th birthday came around and I told myself I would buy it for myself. It was going to be the BIG 3-0 splurge! I walked into the store and bought it with no hesitation because deep inside, I knew I needed this set in my life. I've waited for a long time! Why I say this set was worth spending on because, not only does it looks amazing and beautiful, the details are fantastic.
Just when you think Lego couldn't come up with more building techniques, this comes around... and i'm sitting here like, whoa. No way. This is possible. hahaha. Okay, not that I've built every set Lego has ever released, but yah, this build was awesome possum.
I was so impressed by this set...! Hahaha! It was exactly 1 year ago when I made the decision to start collecting Lego. I'm proud to say that I'm officially a builder and the dream of being a master builder is on its way. My other dream of completing my very own Town / Village is also in the making and I can't help but feel a huge amount of happiness because this is exactly what I wanted!
I finally found something that I can drift off to when I need some zen time. I have something that needs dedication and passion for it to come alive. I am glad that I finally have a hobby that tickles my mind and make me want to know more. This is what I've been looking for and I'm just so happy I didn't give up on this dream (and I'm going to continue this hobby). For years, I've jumped from hobby to hobby, trying to find something that would make me genuinely happy - something that will help me deal with my issues / problems. I wanted this 'thing' to be something healthy. I was so confident that drinking my pain away was useless in the long run. I wouldn't be proud of myself. Yup, Lego did it. Happy 1 year Lego Anniversary to me! Look at how cute! I want to gobble and hug them all at the same time! I'm so happy right now and I can't contain it!
It's only been recent since I started admiring the Lego Minifigures collection. I got on board with the addicting, yet cut throat search for each character. I totally understand why people do this. I've had an inkling about it because I used to collect Vinyl figures, but of course, this is different because... it's Lego. Haha. To complete a series, it's like spending on one of those big Lego City sets... haha so yup, it will hurt your pocket a little bit, but wow, it's so worth it. If you know where to look and your fingers are REALLY GOOD at guessing what's inside those packets, you'll be just fine.
So, I finally completed series 15 and I'm so happy about it. It's so nice to stare at! Hahaha! Woot! Next stop, the Disney CMS! Woot! I'm so excited!!!
So I finally completed the Lego Mixels Series 7! Woot! I'm starting to chase these things because they're just so darn cute! What a happy and simple build. I love them! I want more! Hahaha.
I'm starting to get into Minifigures so, I thought it would be really cool to make displays for them! I've seen a lot of people do this for their minifigures, so I'm joining the bandwagon! I've started with these and I'm quite happy with them. Haha. I can't wait until I have enough funds to collect a massive load of pieces so I cant really allow my imagination to go wild!
When I saw this one on the shelves, I was already thinking I can make this into a MOC for my Lego City [in the making]. I went ahead and looked at it for about 10 mins until I decided I really wanted to get it. Haha. Yay! A new addition to my [for now] street! I decided to place a building on the left side. I made a 7-11 with apartments on top of it. I'm glad that Lego came up with this set.
I finally purchased the Lego Ecto and I had so much fun building this one. It brought me back to the time I mastered the Ghostbusters theme song on Lego Rock Band (PS3). Hahaha! Btw, playing that song on drums was way too fun. Anyways, I'm not the biggest ghostbusters fan, but I was one of those kids that really enjoyed the movie and cartoon growing up, so this was fun to build. It's a good way to bring you back to your childhood and remembering all those Saturday afternoons. What an epic way to spend my Friday night!
Okay, so i didn't have a Valentine's Day date this year, but that's okay because I got this for free from the Lego Store! Hahaha! Do you know how awesome it is that your favorite store in the WHOLE WORLD gave you a Vday gift?! Haha! I ain't complaining! So cute. I wish they gave me more gift though... hoho!
Just when I thought Lego couldn't possibly beat the awesomeness of their other modulars... Nope, it was really dumb of me to ever think that... I finally purchased the new Lego Modular Building, The Brick Bank!!! This is Lego's latest release in their modular building set and holy moley, BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF ART WORK. Hahaha. Okay, the details of this build was insane. I usually don't take long in building these things, but the little pieces to create all the little details made this one slightly painful for my big fingers. Haha. Nevertheless, it was fun (as usual) and I would take it apart to it all over again! Alright, serious time. When Lego announced they were to release the Brick Bank set, I was stoked! What a great addition to their modular set right? I looked at the photos and saw that they had unique pieces like the green windows. I thought, holy crap, if you sell those per piece? You'd be rich in one second... But I don't think I'd be selling any of them because to have a 1st edition set is too awesome for life. While building, I was thinking about all the geniuses that came up with this design because the details are insane. In the past modulars they've released, I was already blown away with what they did, but this time around? I was just flabbergasted. I've only been building recently, so I know I'm not at this level yet. Hence, the shock factor. Haha. I think this one tops all of their other buildings. The design of everything was brilliantly thought of. The color scheme is fantastic. The vault and landry shop is pure genius! I mean come on... who could think of combining a Bank with a laundry shop on the side? Okay, people... but the way lego did it is just AWSOME (or maybe i just look up to these people so much that's why I'm fangirling over this... haha).
I can't wait for their next modular building to come out. I'm sure it's going to be even more awesome than this one. What a great build. I'm so happy I bought this set! Everyone should purchase it, despite its price tag, because you will enjoy all the little things they placed on this one and it's going to make your imagination go wild! It's worth every buck you spend on it. I created my lil' monster iphone dock! Hahaha. I had a lot of fun making this and it's a nice addition to my work table!
This is my first attempt in making a Lego Mecha! Woot! I still need to collect certain pieces, but I think this is good enough. I think it looks pretty bad ass for a first time Mecha builder. Haha. I had fun making this. Way too much fun!
My niece came home from Jakarta and decided to get me a gift (pasalubong). She bought me my first Lego Mixel. From there, I started collecting because I found them so cute. Haha. They're short builds, but they're totally worth it because it makes your imagination go wild. Haha. I want more!
